Farmers Markets in Philadelphia

Yesterday I mentioned the farmers’ market I came across at the corner of 25th and Spruce (Schuylkill River Park), and a reader left a comment asking if we had any information about other farmers’ markets in Philadelphia.

Looking around, I found that has a very good listing for markets both in the city of Philadelphia as well as those in the Philadelphia suburbs. In addition, a list of the markets operated by the Food Trust can be found in this pdf (note that they run the market at Schuylkill River Park mentioned in the previous post).

These lists don’t completely overlap, so I recommend checking them all out to see which ones are near you. Also, looking at the Food Trust list, I see two new ones this year (Schuylkill River Park and Bella Vista) as well as an extra new day at the Headhouse Farmers’ Market, so you may discover something new this summer.
