I’m shocked that nobody on the Dallas MetBlog picked up on the Terrell Owens story from today. Maybe they are as fed up as most of Philadelphia is. Here is a guy that had all of the goodwill in the world when he signed with the Eagles two years ago. He did and said a lot of things to anger those in San Francisco, but none of it seemed to matter.

Now here we are. TO tried to commit suicide last night.

And nobody seems to care.

The facts: TO was prescribed 40 painkillers to help deal with the pain from a fractured hand on September 18. Between September 18 and September 26, he had five.

Last night, he had 35.

A female friend called 911 last night. They took him and pumped his stomach and now he’s great.

TO claims he did nothing. Sound familiar?

Last night they asked TO if he consumed all the pills, and he said yes.
They asked him if he wanted to harm himself, he said yes.
They asked him why, and he said he was depressed.

And now he claims he was out of it last night

Wow, a TO back-track. I have to say I’m surprised.

At least the sworn police report says differently.

Just when I was beginning to have the only tinge of sympathy I’ve ever had for T.O. in my life, he goes and denies this story. I can’t wait to see how Rosenhaus spins this one…If he truly is mentally ill, then he has my sympathies. If it’s another publicity ploy, then this has gone too, too far.
