From Eggbeaters to…
Beverly Dale, better known around some circles in Philadelphia as Rev Bev, the liberal minister on Penn’s campus, is making her debut at the Live Arts Festival and Philly Fringe on September 10th (repeating the performance on September 15th). She’s performing an original work called An Irreverant Journey: From Eggbeaters to Vibrators.
Reverend Beverly Dale tells stories that the Church does not want to hear. A man sexually abuses his eight-year old niece. A young bride is unaware of her husband’s infidelity. A middle-aged woman discovers her own orgasm. A multimedia performance with harmonica accompaniment by John Colgan-Davis from The Dukes of Destiny, a local blues band.
The show is being held in the Prayer Chapel at Arch Street United Methodist Church, 55 N. Broad Street. It starts at 7 pm and tickets are $10.
