Strange, sad display in Headhouse Square

This past Sunday I made the requisite preparatory beer run, for me between Brewer’s Outlet in Mt. Airy and my friend’s home in south philly. On the way I stopped with my husband at Headhouse Square for a Cosi lunch before dropping him at work. I spotted a very odd display from Pine street. At first I thought it was an abandoned toy. It appears to be more of a statement; my best guess would be child abuse or specifically molestation. It was very sad and strange.

    I saw this on my way to work, from afar, and thought it was left over from the Mummer’s parade!
