Dave Eggers Jan 9th at Free Library
Oooohh next Wednesday at the Central Branch of the Free Library…we’re going to get introspective…
Dave Eggers, author of A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius and confounder of McSweeney’s, will be in Philly Wednesday January 9th. He’ll be discussing his latest book, What is the What, a fictionalized account of a boy’s desperate trek out of Sudan. The book is currently One Book, One Philadelphia’s reading selection.
The talk is free, and sure to be chalk full of dudes scribbling notes in leather-bound notebooks, art chicks in hand made sweaters, and college writing professors trying to gain some understanding as to why free form prose about frisbees is so popular amongst their students.

Thanks for covering our event! However, the lecture is on Tuesday, January 7, not Wednesday.
The lecture will be packed, so come early if you want to get a seat in the auditorium!
