Last Days of a Firehouse Gargoyle
Hello Philadelphia! I’d like to introduce myself. I’m Ruth (aka MooCat) and I’m the new photo blogger for Metblogs Philadelphia (Tamara, aka Luminous Lens, is taking time off to have a baby–congratulations, Tamara!). I’m planning to post my own photos twice a week, Mondays and Fridays, and also select photos from the Metblogging Philadelphia Flickr Group http://flickr.com/groups/mb_philadelphia/ on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Please submit any great photos you have; I always like to see shots of my favorite city. You can find out more about me on my author bio.

The historic firehouse, where this gargoyle and 3 others ‘live’, is being demolished for the Philadelphia Convention Center expansion. It’s on Race Street between 13th and Broad.
