Philly’s Ugliest Logo Contest

Have you ever looked around at the businesses around Philly and thought to yourself, “Gee that’s an ugly logo on that store.” It is possible that you haven’t, but the folks at Gyro Worldwide deal in the trade of logos and they’ve noticed some doozies around town. A sort of city beautification project, they’ve decided to help out one poor, unfortunate, ugly logo by asking the residents of Philadelphia to vote for the ugliest logo around. They will design a new logo for the winner.

Not under the category of Logo, but if you’ve ever noticed Roberto’s Cafe on the 2100 block of South, you will recall that despite being a pretty posh restaurant (and very delicious) on the inside, they have this weird ghetto whiteboard listing the specials on the outside. Emily is of the firm belief that they need a chalkboard, some colored chalk, and a girl with neat handwriting, and their business would triple.

Okay, sure, blah ugly, blah pompous.

But have you looked at THEIR logo?

The one that’s an unimaginative re-rendering of the PA state road sign?

    Yeah, color me unimpressed.
