10,000 losses…

Last night, in spectacular fashion, the Fightin’ Phils lost their 10,000th game, losing a heartbreaker to the defending World Series champion St. Louis Cardinals, 10-2. Although that score is mildly decieving. The game was actually pretty close, in the first inning. After that though, the game kind of got out of hand and Cardinals’ first baseman Albert Pujols seemed to single-handidly beat the Phils with his two monster homeruns.

The Fightin’ Phils are the only major sports franchise to lose 10,000 games, but with any luck, the team will be back above .500 in 2026, possibly sooner if a 1,100 game win streak happens.

Keep your fingers crossed…

On a side note, geriatric closer Tom Gordon has been activated of the Disabled List.

I’m not sure how to respond to that.
