A Fine Frenzy
A while back I got a nice email from a PR person who represents A Fine Frenzy, asking if I’d heard of the band. I hadn’t (although later that week, my copy of XPN’s New Music Sampler showed up in my mailbox, and AFF was on it as well). This nice PR person sent a sampler CD over and I listened to it a bunch of times. I liked it (although it’s frequently a little overly dramatic for me), and was planning on posting about the fact that A Fine Frenzy was playing at the North Star Bar on Wednesday night. But then I got wrapped up in the end of my summer course and the Metblog system experienced unknown failures for a big part of Wednesday and so I never posted anything. But I thought I’d post now, and encourage you to check out this band, because it is almost entirely the creative endeavor of a 22-year-old named Alison Sudol, and I love seeing young woman finding success in music.
Check out their website here and their snazzy myspace page here.
