As part of their AIDS Education month series, Philadelphia FIGHT will present a Global Forum on Women and HIV tomorrow night. For anyone who might be interested in attending: Global Forum: Women & HIV

Date: Thursday, June 14th
Time: 4:00pm – 9:00pm
Location: The Wistar Institute, 3601 Spruce Street

The growing feminization of the AIDS pandemic will be discussed by exploring the gender inequality underlying rising incidence rates among women and girls. Please join us for 3 workshops examining global policies, conditions for women in Sub-Saharan Africa, and HIV among African women in the U.S., followed by a presentation and discussion by C.H.A.N.G.E (Center for Health and Gender Equity) on the critical campaign: Women Won’t Wait! This campaign calls attention to the intersection between rising HIV/AIDS among women and gender-based violence and demands global funding accountability to support programs that address this relationship.

(A light dinner will be provided.)
