Admission fees to climb at Philly Art Museum

Today the Philadelphia Museum of Art announced that they will be raising their admission prices starting on July 1st. The new prices will be as follows…

* Adult admission: $14 (previously $12)
* Students with I.D. and youth 13-18: $10 (increased from $8)
* Seniors: $12 (increased from $9)

For the seniors that means a 33 percent increase. The press release doesn’t say anything about what this will do to yearly membership rates (so if you want to lock in the current rates, I’d recommend getting your membership now. They do stress that they are committed to keeping admission free for children under 12 and that “pay what you wish” Sundays will continue.
