UNCUT Productions First Friday Art & Film Party!

Looking for something to do next Friday (June 1st)? Want to help out a growing Philly production unit? Well if so check out below press release I received:

UNCUT Productions (the multi-faceted production company behind the 2006 Philly Fringe smash Disaster: The Musical! And the Philadelphia Film Festivals official selection The Fifth Annual Underground Drunken Spelling Bee) is celebrating their Fifth birthday with an eclectic artistic evening entitled The Donkey Party located at Christ Church on June 1, 2007. The Annual Fundraiser, Art Gallery and UNCUT Film Retrospective funds all UNCUT projects for the year as well as supports The National Multiple Sclerosis Society. This all-inclusive event begins at 7:00PM. Tickets are priced at $10 -$20 and are available through the UNCUT website at uncutproductions.org. The Christ Church Annex is located at 20 N. American Street at 2nd and market Streets in old City Philadelphia.

The party starts at 7:00PM when we open the doors to our first ever UNCUT curated Art Gallery featuring over 20 amazing local artists with work on display and for sale. Throughout the evening tune in to the big screen and watch UNCUT films from our inception to today! Four years of footage with programming slated every fifteen minutes, UNCUT invites you to view our highlights as well as sneak peeks including scenes from the highly anticipated feature film Eye of the Tiger : Thrill of the Fight! a manic comedy shot on the steps of The Philadelphia Art Museum. Featuring never before seen footage and deleted scenes (which may never be seen again), the film programming is slated to begin at 7:30pm. Beer and wine graciously donated by Yards Brewery is available at the event. A $10 ticket donation garners a free drink and a $20 ticket donation procures an open beer bar ticket! A small silent auction accompanies the event with awesome items to bid on from local restaurants, theaters, hotels and shops! DJ Brown mixes effortlessly between the programming and Danger Dancing ( UNCUTs very own brand of dancing out of control) is strongly encouraged.

The fundraiser promises to be an all out celebration and UNCUT encourages you to come and go from Christ Church and into the street for First Friday activities. UNCUT is currently looking for a few additional artists to display work in the gallery as well as volunteers for the event.
