Rittenhouse Square Flower Market

Rittenhouse Square Flower Market

If you’ve never made it to the Rittenhouse Square Flower Market, you’ve really got to get over there tomorrow and check it out. It is the oldest continually running festival in the Square, started in 1914 when Rittenhouse was just one year old. Plant, flower and food vendors set up in the heart of the Square and different musical acts play throughout the day. This afternoon I was lucky enough to catch an all-female string quartet. It’s a lovely event and tomorrow is supposed to be spring-like and sunny. Go on, buy a plant and have an ice cream cone. It’s good for you.
