Pronounced with an -orsement

This is one of the funniest endorsements I’ve ever seen, it brings me right back to those good old confused adolescent days when I memorized every single word to “The Humpty Dance” and thought I was the coolest ever. Philadelphia Weekly for mayoral candidate Michael Nutter:

First I limp to the side like my leg was broken…

This is a very cool blog – this is the first time, that I’ve seen it…

In 16 years, we’ve come from the Digital Underground to the Political Underground, so to speak… (I never would have imagined that the Humpty Dance would ever have the slightest connection to a mayoral campaign!)

It’s hard to believe that when that song was out – and it is a very funny song – Nutter – the one-time DJ – was running for office for the first time, against Democratic incumbent Councilwoman Ann Land in 1991. He was 33.

Anyhow, I publish Campaignia.org, which is a web site devoted to the study of political campaigns.

If you’re interested – I ocvered the May 7 debate at the National Constitution Center, and was able to ultimately publish a – reasonably – complete transcript of the media question-and-answer session that took place afterwards. I was able to briefly interview four of the five candidates (all but Fattah) and Chris Matthews of MSNBC, the Philly native who moderated it.

To read it, you can just click on my screen name at the bottom of the post –

just cut/paste this web site page into your web browser:
