The other day I got an email about an upcoming show at Grape Street (Main Street in Manayunk) featuring Venezuelan-born local singer/songwriter Ged Roman. Having never heard his music before, I browsed over to his myspace page for a listen—wow! His “Almost Goodbye” is amazing. I’m a big fan of the 70s-flavored singer/songwriter genre (are you surprised?) and his music very much reminds me of that. What a shame I’ll be out of town this weekend! Looks like some good bands performing on Saturday night, and Ged hits the stage first around 8PM.
