Phils Manager Flips On Howard Eskin

The Phils dropped to three wins and nine losses on the season, a dismal start to say the least, but last night Phillies Manager Charlie Manuel may have cracked. When questioned by 610 WIP broacaster Howard Eskin, why doesn’t he show more emotion and anger in his press conferences, Manuel responded by asking Eskin into his office. Inside the office Manuel then ripped into Eskin’s heavy criticisms of him displaying the guy does, at the very least, know how to display some anger.

Manuel may want to save his screaming fits for his team though who are off to a horendous start, especially for a team that has the reigning MVP, Ryan Howard, and an All-Star second baseman, Chase Utley. He says his team is playing hard and doesn’t deserve his wrath yet. When are they going to deserve it Charlie?

This team was supposed to be special, or at least that’s what everyone was spouting. Calling this team special at this point would equate to telling the little dumb kid down the block he is special, just so he feels good.
