Philadelphia Street Art Roundup #2

Here is today’s roundup of pictures from the Metroblogging Streetart Flickr Pool. Again, I am amazed at the wonderful variety that people are submitting – already it’s opening my eyes to so many bits and pieces of street art in the city that I hadn’t previously noticed. (It’s almost as if they designed this contest just for Philly.)

odhusky brings us some sticker art on some fantastically convoluted one-way signs, and a painting creatively held against a wall.

Moocat submitted two murals, both of which nicely show the surroundings in which the murals are set (I love the overhanging tree branches), and then a wonderfully quirky snake bench at Walnut and 17th.

matt.ohara has taken some pictures of stencil art. (I’m curious about stencil art. Is it done in broad daylight? Surreptiously under the cover of darkness? Anyone know?)

And finally, our own Philanthropoid submitted two murals. I am surprised I have never seen either of them before, but I really like them!

Please add your photos of Philly’s street art to the Metroblogging Streetart Flickr Pool and tag your photos with the words “Philadelphia” and “metblogs” between Wednesday, April 4 through Wednesday, April 18 to enter the global Metroblogging street art contest. (More info here.)
