Season Over, Flyers Still Losing Out

After a dismal regular season, the worst in the team’s 40 year history, the Flyers had the best chance to secure the first pick in the June 22 NHL draft. We couldn’t even win that, coming in second to the Chicago Blackhawks in the draft lottery. This isn’t really a bad thing as the draft class for this year is the weakest it has been in a few years and there is no sure fire stand out that will be in the draft. It might be best for the Flyers to trade down, trying to get some value out of the pick by getting an NHL ready player through a trade.
