Photo of the Day: Fairmount Water Works

I have yet to visit the Fairmount Water Works, but every photo I’ve ever seen of it makes it look so impressive. Maybe it’s because it faces west, so every afternoon it catches the warmth of the late afternoon sun?

Looking at the Fairmount Water Works’ website, I see that they have a live FishCam! I don’t know what it is about live wildlife cameras that I love (I was transfixed by this webcam in Botswana last year), but I am very excited to check out the migrating fish of the Schuylkill River. The web cam isn’t currently live, but they say that “the heaviest months of the fish census are during the spring migration season, during April, May and June”, so I would guess it would come online soon. Anyone know?
