Forsberg Traded to Preds
Star forward Peter Forsberg was traded to the Nashville Predators last night after a whole lot of speculation. Forsberg will reunite with ex-Colorado teammate (and long time favorite of mine) Paul Kariya while the Flyers will nab the Predators first and third round picks in this years draft as well as forward Scottie Upshall and defense prospect Ryan Parent.
This certainly isn’t the big trade everyone wanted but really the Flyers were looking to dump Forsberg and everyone knew it. Paired with his injuries it is amazing we got this out of the Preds. I still would have liked to see Forsberg traded to Dallas for Eric Lindros, it just would have been comical.
