Snowy Day Deal

Schools are letting out early. Possibly some employers are doing the same. If you’ve found yourself with a free afternoon on this snowy day and don’t want to just head home to curl up under a blanket with a book, you could make your way over to McGillin’s Olde Ale House. When the first snowfall of the year drops two or more inches, the folks at McGillin’s light the fire, lower the prices on drinks and give away a cup of soup with every lunch order.

Even without the snowfall deal, you should check out McGillin’s. It is the oldest continually operating tavern in town, having opened it’s doors in 1860. It was recently voted one of the top 100 best bars in the country by the editors of Nightclub and Bar Magazine (who knew there was such a thing). They also have some of the best karaoke in town.

You’ll find McGillin’s at 1310 Drury Street, which is the alley between Chestnut and Sansom, between 13th and Juniper.
