Well, doesn’t this photo from glenOX just look like an advertisement for Philadelphia?

Someone recently left a comment on one of my photos of the Schuylkill River, noticing that many American cities don’t make much of their rivers while in Europe the banks of a river in a city are prime real estate. I agree that Philly does a decent job of making use of the river. The Schuylkill often looks pretty even if you would exactly take a swim in it or drink from it.

(Also, check out this lovely moody picture also by Glen. It is a bit outside of Philly, but not far; it’s a train bridge between Morrisville, PA and Trenton, NJ.)
