The State of my Liver

Well, tonight is the night for George Bush’s State of the Union address, which means one additional thing: it’s time for The SOTU Drinking Game!

Co-created by a bi-partisan team—and by this I mean not just Democrat vs. Republican, but (if I recall correctly) Penn vs. Princeton–the game is lovingly updated each January to reflect the changing shifts of America’s political winds.

I was in a show with one of the co-creators, back when he was a 2L at Penn Law. I’ve looked up the new game every year since, even if I only played it for real that one time when I took VERY small sips at all the predicted events and had still gone through three whole beers by the end of the event.

I will miss tonight’s SOTU (I cannot decide if that is a blessing or a curse) on account of choir rehearsal. But some moment during break, I’ll lift my water bottle with a fond thought for Marc and Howard.
