Best No-Wait Brunch in Town

This morning I met a friend for brunch at Di Bruno’s on Chestnut St. Most people think of them as a great place to grab a hunk of aged cheese, a quick delicious lunch or an impressive place to get a fully prepared holiday meal. But let me tell you, they are one of the easiest places in the city to grab a fantastic, speedy brunch. The upstairs is open weekends until 1 pm, and there is a fully staffed brunch bar on the west side of the building, as well as bagel and lox counter on the east side. A fully loaded bagel and lox is $10, which is a pretty darn good deal. There is no table service, it works like a cafeteria, but there was plenty of seating and no waiting when we got there at 11:30 am today, an unheard of treat for weekend brunch.
