Tower in Darkness

Yesterday I walked past Tower Records for the first time since it closed. I was there about a month ago to try to get some deals while it was in its last days, but it was so sad seeing the total darkness of a place that once brought me so much joy. I guess such is the reality of living in a city–constant change. Sigh.

    Wow, I guess it really is the end of an era. It’s hard to believe that Tower records is gone.

    that south street corridor is looking sadder all the time, between the former mcdonald’s, tower and kfc/taco bell. i wonder how long everything will sit empty before someone comes in who can afford the exorbitant rental prices.

    I hadn’t heard this! I went to Tower Records all the time while I was at school in Philadelphia. I moved away about 8 years ago. I can’t believe it. I had so many great memories there as well.
