Holiday Bear
Apologies for the lack of photo posting for the past couple of days. For one thing, it seemed appropriate to leave the post and photo of Star C. Foster at the top of the blog for a little bit. However, blogging goes on and I can’t imagine (having never personally met her, but having read her blogs for the past few years) that she would have wanted it otherwise.
The other reason for the delay is that I have been writing my dissertation like a mad woman since I am turning in full draft this week. Which means, I might actually start getting out more and taking pictures in more neighborhoods than Fitler Square!
But that time is not yet, and so I give you yet another photo from Fitler Square. There seems to have been a tree and animal lighting in the square on Sunday evening. (Hm, or was it Saturday? The days and nights are really blurring together at this point.) I missed it but my husband caught the tail end of on it his way to get groceries for dinner. Probably without really thinking it through, he called me to let me know that there were people and pretty lights in the square and thought I might like to go take a few pictures. Well, of course I would!
While he ran to the store, I grabbed my tripod and ran out to take a couple of pictures and was just setting up by the time he came back to meet me. Given that he was standing there holding a bag of groceries, I couldn’t spend quite as much time as I would have liked (though he is amazingly patient), so I just watched where the kids were pointing and took pictures of the things that caught their attention. Like this cute bear.
