End of an Era
I am not a basketball fan. I do tend to get into the sport a little bit during March Madness but as for the NBA I’ve never been interested. That all being said I still find great sadness in the Philadelphia 76ers decision to trade all-star forward Allen iverson. Iverson and the organization have been at odds over the last little bit and it culminated with Iverson being banished from the team for two games and then his request to be traded. Iverson has played all of his 11 seasons with the Sixers and it will be sad to see a Philadelphia sports Icon leave the city, most likely to go to another team and win a championship. Hopefully one day, when he is put in the Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, MA he will go in as a Sixer at which point the team should add him to rafters along with the likes of Dr. J.

sad????????? are you kidding me?
in the last year we finally got rid of the 3 cancers plaguing philly sports….terrel owens, bobby clarke, and now allen iverson.
its a happy happy day for sports fans who prefer losing with dignity to dealing with these whiny disruptive unsportsmanlike assholes we pay way too much money to.
