Alexander Ovechkin came into the Wachovia Center and in one period ended the Flyers hopes of a victory. Robert Esche was ineffective and yanked. The defense was as usual slow and tonight Ovechkin embarrassed them by throwing our big hitting defenseman to the side. There were some positives though, in the second and third periods the team played better but didn’t yield enough results and starting down 4-1 kind of hurts anyway. Jeff Carter missed the game with an ankle injury.
