Columbus Day Parade

It feels like there’s a parade happening just about every weekend in this city. I can often hear the music in my apartment from the ones that run on Market Street or the Parkway. Tomorrow (Sunday) I won’t be able to hear that parade because it’s taking place in South Philly. But if you’re interested in checking out a parade, people will be marching down Broad Street in celebration of Columbus Day. The festivities begin at 12:15 pm and take place between Reed Street and Oregon Ave. Vince Papale, the Eagles walk on who this year became the subject of Disney’s Invicible, will be the grand marshall. Watch out though if you’re driving, because streets in the area will be blocked off.
