“14 seconds before oncoming traffic plows into you…”

Anyone know how long the timers on the pedestrian crossing lights on Broad Street have been around? I just saw them this weekend and am glad for them. They have them all over DC and a number of other metro areas and I always appreciated knowing just how many seconds I had to spare before I became a target for the city motorists. Can’t wait til they install them on more Center City streets.
