Political Science Convention
I went to the Reading Terminal Market at noon today to get my grub on, and it was swarming with out-of-town intellectual types. I asked around and the American Political Science Association is holding a convention in our fair city this week. Their organization is 15,000 strong and according to one member 7,000 showed up this week. The topic de joure at the table where I was sitting was on the life and works of Leo Strauss, apparently a German-born political theorist.
