60 bucks for JT
While perusing the Arts and Entertainment section of the Philadelphia Weekly, one of the concerts happening this evening caught my eye. Justin Timberlake at the Electric Factory. Nothing too unusual about that. Ticket price: $59.50. This is what I found shocking. I have nothing against Justin Timberlake–hell, I own his first album and usually have “Cry Me A River” on the 25 most played on my iPod (come on, you know that’s a great song). But Justin Timberlake for $59.50? After Ticketmaster surcharges, you have an almost a seventy dollar ticket on your hands. And no guaranteed seat. This is my issue, which is admittedly either a sign of my age or my non-hipness. I will get to the Electric factory for shows early to ensure that I have a seat upstairs. While seated with a drink, the Electric Factory is a rather enjoyable venue. Standing being crushed by the masses on the main level, it’s crap. So, if you are seeing JT tonight, have a great time. For the amount of money you are paying to see him, I hope you get a seat!

I like justin too but not for that price. Imagine standing up all night in heels and you paid almost 100 dollars. No way
i have to agree–that’s a little steep for JT. thanks for the info about getting to the Elec Factory early–i haven’t been before but i’m going to a concert there in Sept. i’m getting there before the crowd and am gonna plant my ass on a seat upstairs!
