Unity Day is this Sunday on the Parkway. Sponsored by WDAS, Unity Day has become one of the last major events of the summer. There will be four stages featuring R&B, Gospel and a slew of multicultural bands and dancers. I have attended this event just about every year since I was a baby. Special guests include Kirk Franklin, Mary Mary, Steve Harvey, Michael Baisden and Jaguar Wright. Unity Day is so inspiring. People come from all over and set up lawn chairs to barbeque on the parkway. There are a lot of fun and games for the children, good music and great vendors. Don’t forget the free stuff! Come out and enjoy. I promise you won’t be disappointed.
