Pennsylvania Dutch Fest

The annual Pennsylvania Dutch Festival kicks off today at Reading Terminal Market. You can typically see folks from Amish Country at the Market Wednesdays through Saturdays, but this week they are the stars of the place. It is a three-day celebration of all things Amish, handmade and from Lancaster County. Throughout the entire festival there will be cooking demonstrations and displays of quilts, brooms and wood crafts. If you hit the Market on Saturday, there will also be a petting zoo on Arch Street, and buggy rides around the block.

If you go and take any pictures, send them to us at phillymetroblog AT gmail dot com and we’ll put them up!
