Former Flyers goalie is Islanders new GM.
The guy who wore lacrosse pads and was one of the main reasons for the new goaltender equipment regulations in the NHL has become the new Islanders GM. That’s right folks the “Snowman”, Garth Snow, who was Rick DiPietro’s backup last season is now running the show for the Isles. Snow replaces Neil Smith who held the job for roughly six weeks. With the departure of Smith the Isles also said goodbye to new senior advisor Pat Lafontaine who quit once the changes took place.
