On The Slope To Vic-To-Reeeeeeeeee!

It’s official: Two-time US Olympic skier Jeremy Bloom has agreed to the 4-year contract put in front of him by the Philadelphia Eagles. His agent said yesterday that Bloom should be signing the contract between now and sometime tomorrow. The Associated Press (via MSNBC) describes Bloom as “speedy but undersized”–a perfect description for Bloom, who played wide receiver for the University of Colorado at Boulder. In two seasons with the Buffaloes, Bloom had 24 receptions for an average of 19.1 yards per catch, 47 punt returns for an average at 13.5 yards per return, and 25 kickoff returns for 25.1 yards per return, with an added bonus of five touchdowns of 75 yards or more. He looks to be a welcome addition to the Eagles’ slacking receiving line, and come training camp, the public will see if our new receiver can “bloom” instead of going “downhill.”

I’m sorry. No more puns.
