Manayunk Arts Fest

If you are still looking for something to do this weekend (in addition to the options posted by Suzanne and Salas), might I suggest the Manayunk Arts Festival? It runs this Saturday (11 am - 8 pm) and Sunday (11 am - 6 pm) all up and down Main Street, Manayunk’s central drag. This is the 17th year that they’ve closed the street to traffic and set up booths of art, jewelry, food and kids events. There is a juried art show that will feature more than 275 artists, who work in a variety of media. It’s a fun, crowded, interesting day and perfect for those folks who don’t want to venture all the way into Center City.

As a DC Metblogger who came up to exhibit at the show, let me tell you that it may have been fun and interesting but it sure wasn’t crowded….

The weather probably played a big role in that. The last couple times I’ve been, it was packed. But those were beautiful, bright, not-too-hot days.
