The Rick Santorum Musical
The musical that was the hit of the 2005 Fringe Festival, “The Teachings of Chairman Rick,” is back for an encore run on Friday and Saturday, June 9th and 10th at 7:00 and 9:00 PM at the William Way Community Center, 1315 Spruce St., Philadelphia. Tickets are $15 and available via Paypal, by telephone (215-869-1331), or at Giovanni’s Room, 12th and Pine Streets, Philadelphia.
They say:
“The Teachings of Chairman Rick” is composed by Tom Wilson Weinberg with words by Senator Santorum and others. The show stars original cast members Emmanuel Carrera, Melissa Kolczynski and Chy Spain, with Weinberg at the piano. The show takes you on a musical journey into the musings and thoughts of one of today’s most polarizing and controversial politicians. Rick sings, speechifies, and is interviewed on such issues as abortion, gay marriage, faith-based initiatives, the Pope, and Terri Schiavo.
I’m buying tickets with some friends for the 7 pm show on Saturday. When are you going?
