Blame Verizon!

Hey guys, remember me? It’s loyal Metblog poster Brady Hicks, checking in once again with his monthly report. In all seriousness, I do enjoy getting to contribute to this site I do need to continue doing so. One of the absolutely fantastic things about it is that everyone is so understanding when I can’t seem to find the time to write like I used to.

Even when it seems there is no new news in my life to talk about, I need to force myself to do this lately because it is one of the only things keeping me sane.

My job has and continues to be hell. Read between the lines here. Another coworker put in his two weeks notice and my boss hasn’t even bothered to tell us yet. Why? Because then he can pile more work on and hope we won’t notice. I know we never talk in my work, but things DO still have a way of getting around.

Anyway, blame Verizon for me not posting recently. With all that has been going on a work, writing for the Metblogs is pretty much now impossible during the workday. Then I go home at night, and I go home to a dialup connection that is tempermental at best. Why am I still using dialup? Because Verizon has no immediate plans to bring DSL to my area. Dialup connection plus Depression = Poor Metblog production. Sorry guys. I’m working on it.

So blame Verizon for why you never hear from me. And forgive me. I’m still trying to work through a lot of stuff.

Check in with DSL Reports to find alternatives to Verizon.

I would recommend SpeakEasy. I have their OneLink DSL because Hannah and I have no need for a phone line at all; we pay about $60 a month total ($30 per person) when we’d be paying $75 a month total with Verizon for a phone line + internet.
