Drinking Liberally

I have no ability to write anything more entertaining about tonight’s Drinking Liberally than what Will Weltman has already sent out to the email list, so here it is, in it’s entirety:

With much regret I must inform you that Drinking Liberally at Tangier tonight has been cancelled due to the scarcity of the natural resource Alcohol. Alcohol is the main component of many of the fine drinks that you consume on Tuesday nights at Tangier, but with the impending shortage we must be responsible consumers and conserve this vital resource.

Aside from limiting our consumption, prices of Alcohol will soar since demand will only increase and supply will unfortunately decline. To offset the burden that is being placed on Liberal Drinkers everywhere we have decided to propose a rebate of $100 in monopoly money. Though the money has no commercial value, it still should make you feel better that if you don’t have alchol at least you have some money in your pocket.

We hope to see you at Drinking Liberally tonight for free wings if you come early and dollar of drafts and well drinks. (editor’s note: For those who take these emails seriously, there is no alcohol shortage, so you are welcome to come and drink up)

Hope to see you there,

Will
