You Got a Bike For Easter? I Never Got a Bike!

I meant to post this the other day but being as it is Easter Sunday I still find it slightly appropriate. On my way to work on Friday, which turned out to be quite a quick ride since it seemed like no one else was working that day, I was listening to Preston & Steve on 93.3 WMMR. The topic at the time I was driving was gift giving at Easter. Evidently some people get bikes for Easter. I never got a bike. All I ever got was some jelly beans, peeps, a chocolate bunny, a peanut butter filled egg and a few Cadbury crème eggs. Sometimes I would also get new socks. But I never got a bike. My parents always told me the Easter bunny only brought candy (and the occasional pack of socks) because he carried a wicker basket and anything heavier would break it. So I ask you, did any of you get out of the ordinary gifts for Easter, providing you celebrated it of course.

I got CDs several times over the years for Easter. The funniest part about that though is that they were always from my mom, who is Jewish and doesn’t celebrate Easter.
