Off to Europe

Boy I’ve been really busy lately getting ready for my trip that I haven’t had the time to even breathe let alone blog. Its a two week trip, but with the amount of work I HAD to do before I left it felt more like I would never come back to work. Maybe that’s the plan and I don’t know about it :)

So did I mention I’d be gone for 2 weeks?? :) I’m traveling with my sister and here’s our plan. Fly into Prague and stay for 3 nights. Train to Budapest and stay for 3 nights. Train to Zagreb, bum around for 4 hours, and fly to Dubrovnik. Stay in Dubrovnik for 3 nights. Spend a week in Croatia, not sure how we’ll get around, but I would like to see the islands of Korkula and Hvar. Stay in Split a night. See Troigir. And then on the 6th of April take a night train to Vienna, spend two nights, and head home.

For all those interested in pics of the trip, I’ll hopefully be able to post on Flickr.com. You can see them at http://www.flickr.com/photos/iamian.

Cheers to the Philly crew, I’ll be back and ready to blog in April. Hopefully with interesting comparisons to Philly living.

Special interest Osijek, Croatia, where I taught for 4 years during their war period 1990-1995

Too bad you’re missing beautiful Istria. It’s the best part of Croatia. It’s becoming known as “The New Tuscany” for its vineyards, medieval hilltop villages and crystal clear waters.
