6th Annual Bear Affair

In other bear news…

My fraternity brother Pat Cleary passed along this tidbit.

It relates to the Philadelphia Children’s Alliance, an agency that looks to heal and bring justice to children who have been victims of sexual abuse or assault.

The Alliance’s biggest fundraiser is called the Bear Affair. It is a silent auction with cocktails and dinner. Items range from yoga lessons to DVD’s to sports memorabilia to vacations, and each year the items seem to outdo the year before. The food each year is good, and all drinks are included in the ticket price. There is also live music at the event (usually an Irish and a jazz band). It is an amazing event that does so much good for the Alliance.

This year the event is on April 27th from 6:30-10p.
It is being held at the Stotesbury Mansion (19th and Walnut).

If you would like an invitation to this event or more information, please e-mail Pat Cleary directly at PCleary@harmelin.com. Tell him you read Brady’s story about the event on Philadelphia’s Metblogs.
