Chaka Fattah on the Colbert Report
Did anyone else catch Chaka Fattah on the Colbert Report (Comedy Central’s satrical talk/pundit show) last night? It was on the “Better Know a District” segment, and featured Pennsylvania’s own 2nd District (which is the one I happen to live in). Through most of the interview, Fattah looked like he wasn’t quite sure what he had gotten into, and answered the questions as straight as he could. My roommate used to work for a congressman, and said he could see that Fattah was mental cursing the staffer who had signed him up for the gig with Colbert. All that said, Fattah did a reasonably good job handling Colbert, and when asked, “Would you consider President Bush to be one of the great Presidents or simple the greatest ever?” Fattah managed to grab onto the word great and respond that Bush and created the greatest deficit and the most poverty. It was a fun glimpse into the district in which I live, and if I can find a clip of the video, I’ll link it here.
