Airport closed last night because of burning plane
Just after midnight last night, a UPS plane made an emergency landing at the Philadelphia airport, because it was on fire. And they say that there’s no smoking at the airport! The crew was fine and the plane was extinguished in fairly short order, although the airport was forced to close down for most of the night. One runway is still blocked, which will continue to disrupt travel today.
The thing I wonder about is what happens to the packages in a situation like this? Do they call you and tell you that your new sweater is a smoky, smoldering mess? Do they still try to deliver? Anyone know?
