Virgin Wing Bowl Today

The annual tradition of stuffing your face very early in the morning is here. Well it’s going to start in one hour. I actually turned down tickets to this years event since I wasn’t able to take the day off, but about 5-7 of my co-workers attended. I had no idea what this even entails. It’s HUGE. From what was relayed to me people tailgate the wingbowl. People wake up at 3am and start drinking, lining up outside the stadium. Thousands of drunk wing watchers storm into the stadium. Supposedly there is lots of flashing, bear can throwing, and rowdyness. NBC just flashed a live shot from the stadium and it looks more packed than the crowd at a sixers game.

When I next speak to my co-workers I’ll try to get more info about what it was like to attend. I am goind to try to go next year, this event seems like a a completely different experience. Anyone ever been?

From what I was told in the Philadelphia LJ community, people without tickets were not being let in to tailgate. Which sorta sucks.
