Rocky filming, all over town

I’m beginning to feel like the Rocky filming is following me all over town. I got tangled up in it last Friday night as I was walking to the Unitarian potluck. They were filming at the Irish Pub at 20th and Walnut, and I was forced to wait, while a bored-looking production assistant watched for some unknown single that it was okay to let the cluster of people who had gathered cross the street.

Tonight I was trying to go to a friend’s house in South Philly for dinner. I turned left on to Dickinson from Broad Street and was promptly detoured down around to Morris, because Dickinson was blocked off for filming at Victor’s Cafe.

At this rate, I’m sure that they one day that I choose to go to the Italian Market in the month of February will be the day they will be filming there. I seem to have some weird sixth sense about this.

Has anyone else gotten held up or just run into the filming when you didn’t expect it?

I live by Victor’s in South Philly and they have basically blocked Dickinson and 13th street for the whole week. We’ve also got some nice power cables running through our back patio. My guess is that Rocky is the only movie my neighbors would actually give up a whole block of parking spots for a week - without causing a riot.
