Team USA announced a portion of its provisional roster for the inaugural World Baseball Classic and two Phillies made the cut. Second baseman Chase Utley and shortstop Jimmy Rollins were selected to the 60 man roster team. The tournament will be played in the United States, Japan and Puerto Rico between March 3 – 20. Teams will select 30 players from the provisional list to take place in the tournament.
