Peter Forsberg met with some of his former Colorado teammates before the game yesterday and then they came to the Wachovia Center and met his new team and beat them. Alex Tanguay scored with 46 seconds left in overtime to give the Avalanche the win. Avs goaltender David Aebischer has yet to lose in the new year.

The Flyers fought back from 3-1 down to tie the game with a goal by Forsberg with 1:12 remaining in regulation. Mike Knuble scored with two and a half minutes remaining to make it a 3-2 game but Simon Gagne was held out of the goal column. Antero Niitymaki stopped 30 of 34 shots as the Flyers were again outshot by their opposition. The Flyers will next play on Tuesday against Carolina.
