When I go to strip clubs, I go to smoke.

So the front page of the Metro decided to put an image of strippers protesting the smoking ban. I saw this last night on the news and wondered then how the heck they are getting on TV? They were dancing and screaming and it really looked like they were having fun holding the signs in many suggestive ways.

Why is this front page material? What they are saying is that by having this ban men will no longer come to the strip club. Dominique Hernandez said in the metro “A lot of people want to get off of work, have a drink and a smoke, and watch some pretty girls…” I’d like to rearrange that. Men go to the strip club to watch the girls. They are required to have a few drinks at greatly inflated prices. And while they are watching the girls perhaps they smoke. The argument I hear a lot about people not going to bars after a ban and instead going home to smoke with a beer in this case is bull. What man, who frequents these places, will decide that “I can’t smoke? I ain’t going to watch naked women, I’ll just go home to smoke and have a drink and watch….Um..well..TV?” Big capital BULL.

Strip clubs won’t lose money. Businesses won’t lose money. Look at the other states that have enacted this, and the other countries like Ireland and other European countries. This should not have been on the front page of anything, it’s just as Rebecca Santana said “Yesterday’s rally took place one week into the winter ratings period for radio stations.”

Proof is right there on the front page. They made the front page because they are strippers, and they won’t lose customers for the same reason.

    Dead on, Ian!

As long as the ban is across the board then nobody is losing business! Something tells me the strippers won’t be feeling the pinch.

Well if you live across the river in New Jersey and you want to smoke. I invite you all to Daydreams in NE Philadelphia off the Cottman Avenue exit of 95. Depending upon what day it is you can not only smoke and watch pretty nude girls but they will provide you with six draft beers to boot. So NJ strip club patrons come to our Class A City, Philadelphia the City of Brotherly Love for all people, even those that smoke.

Yeah, we’ll see if all the smokers start driving over to our B-class city and B-class state.
